MOSES
DAY 1
Exodus 2
       Describe Moses:

What would possess a man to leave the comfort of royalty and beat a slave driver?

In just this brief glimpse of Moses, what raw materials (good and bad) do you see?

DAY 2
Exodus 3:1-6
Write down the first words of Moses to God.

       What made the ground holy?

Exodus 3:7-11
If you were Moses, what thoughts are running through your head after verse 10?

Does Moses look as brave here as he did last chaper?

Why, why not?

Exodus 3:12-17
       Were God’s instructions simple enough?

How many times has Moses objected so far?

Exodus 4:1-17
Now list how many total excuses Moses has set forth.

Are any of them legitimate excuses?

Does it matter if they are legitimate?  Why or why not?

DAY 3
Exodus 5:1-23
What would you do at this point, if you were an Israelite?

What would you do if you were Moses?

What are the temptations Moses faces at this point?

DAY 4
Skim chapters 8-11 and write down what each of the plagues were.

Exodus 12:1-13
Does God need the door posts marked with blood so he can tell who’s house to skip over?

So, why paint the door posts with blood?

Exodus 12: 31-42
Imagine the amount of food and supplies to support this effort.

Imagine God’s providence for His people.

Exodus 13:1-10
       Is God being fair?

DAY 5
Red Sea is parted (13), Water is miraculously changed (15), Manna and Quail
miraculously feed the whole nation (16), Water is miraculously provided (17), Moses’ father
in-law teaches him how to manage the nation (18), Moses gets the ten commandments
(20), and the people worship the golden calf (32).  Then Moses has this interaction . . .

Exodus 33:12-23
       What is Moses’ first request?

       What is God’s promise?

       What is Moses’ second request?

Note Moses’ third request.  Is he crazy?

What kind of man gets to interact with God in such a way?

Could it be as simple as following God, and then asking for a full measure of his Presence?

How would you change if this happened to you?

Are you working on this kind of change now?

What is your next step?
